In the presence of Prof. Dr. Qusai Kamal Al-Din Al-Ahmadi, President of the University of Mosul, a number of members of the University Council, His Holiness Father Raed Adel, and a number of artists, calligraphers and those interested in creative and artistic affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Nemat Ibrahim Al-Saadi, Dean of our college, participated on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, and at the hall of the French Cultural Institute – Iraq in the presidency of the University of Mosul / Second Complex in the opening of an exhibition of the creative calligraphy of the creative Iraqi calligrapher and the able Mosul artist, Mr. Boutros Qasha, where the exhibition included A number of manuscripts in Arabic and Syriac scripts of sayings, exploits and wisdom in addition to verses from the Bible and the Holy Qur’an The exhibition also included the logo of the University of Mosul with the use of the Syriac language, and the exhibition witnessed a remarkable university, public and artistic presence in addition to the family of calligrapher Boutros Qasha as any exhibition is a cultural exploits and artistic heritage expressing an Iraqi civilization firmly rooted in the depths of history that exceeded thousands of years provided humanity with knowledge and science whose human and cultural features are still visible until now ; The above exhibition also reflects the extent of the University of Mosul’s interest in its faculties, research centers, scientific and administrative staff in other activities and events that come in parallel with the scientific, academic and cultural aspects, in addition to the endeavor of our college, represented by its deanship and affiliates, to work and participate in creative, artistic and community activities and work to develop them, which contributes to spreading the spirit of work and developing talents that have a role in societal advancement and human prosperity.
