International Day of Equal Pay and its impact on promoting human rights,,,
Based on the directives of Professor Dr. Qusay Kamal Al-Din Al-Ahmadi, President of the University of Mosul, regarding the necessity of openness and interaction with society and its various institutions, and within the plans and programs of the Deanship of our college, represented by Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Nemat Ibrahim Al-Saadi and the members of the College Council, to work on spreading the legal culture and introducing protected rights, the International Days Committee has been working to The branch of human rights law aims to introduce international days related to the life of the individual and society, and among these days is the International Day for Equal Pay and its impact on human rights, as the United Nations has approved in its resolutions, starting from the year 2020, September 18, as the International Day for Equal Pay. In addition to that, the development goals 2030, which was approved by the United Nations, stressed the importance of achieving equality between men and women and eliminating discrimination in all its forms, which contradicts the principles and foundations of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the two international covenants, and what is stated in many international agreements, treaties, instruments and covenants, and what is confirmed by UN resolutions and many international organizations, in particular Wage is gaining increasing importance as it has been included and approved by internal and international legislation, as it is considered an individual and societal source of life in addition to its role in internal stability, societal development and international prosperity. Therefore, equality in pay contributes to achieving justice in its various forms,,,
It is worth noting that the College of Law at the University of Mosul seeks, in the context of its community plans, to hold activities and events aimed at raising community awareness of various rights, including equality, which is an objective basis for the rest of its basic forms.
