The harmful effects of drug dealing and consumption on young people’s behavior and their future,,,
Assistant Professor Dr. Luqman Othman Ahmed, one of the teachers of the Human Rights Law Branch at the College of Law at the University of Mosul, participated in the scientific symposium held by the Department of Student Activities at the University of Mosul on Thursday, October 26, 2023, tagged (the harms resulting from drug dealing and consumption on the behavior of young people and Their Future) which had three axes: a health axis, a legal axis, and a law axis, which was addressed by Dr. Luqman Othman Ahmed, in which he explained the legal aspects that address the phenomenon of drugs, their forms and risks, and the legal penalties imposed by the Anti-Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law No. 50 of 2017 on traffickers and abusers, as well as student discipline instructions No. 160. For the year 2017, he stressed that combating drugs is a shared responsibility between state institutions and society in its various categories and segments, and the above participation represented the scientific and societal role of our college within the scope of its endeavor to open up, communicate, and interact with the scientific, research, and community activities and events of the colleges of the University of Mosul and its research centers by providing solutions and treatments for negative phenomena and societal problems that may It negatively affects community cohesion and the security of its members.
