The state’s responsibility to compensate for damages arising from the mistakes of its employees,,,
Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Qusay Kamal Al-Din Al-Ahmadi, President of the University of Mosul, and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Nemat Ibrahim Al-Saadi, Dean of the College of Law, and the members of the College Council, the Private Law Branch in our college held on Thursday, November 30, 2023, the scientific workshop entitled “The State’s Responsibility for Compensating Damages Arising from Mistakes.” Its employees, which clarify the role of the state and its increasing and developing social activity through its service institutions, with the necessity of the employee’s commitment to the principles and standards of disciplined job work and avoiding mistakes that are harmful to others while carrying out his work, in addition to the fact that compensating the injured person achieves satisfaction, thus extending the state’s control over its territory. The workshop also witnessed the presentation of a number of research papers that dealt with The state’s responsibility for the mistakes of its employees/the Al-Hamdaniya tragedy as a model and the effect of the administrative judiciary’s abolition of disciplinary punishment in compensating the morally injured person and the state’s responsibility for the damages of compulsory vaccination/Coronavirus as a model and the extent of the right of the injured person due to the mistakes of state employees and the combination of two compensations and the state’s responsibility for the mistake of an employee with special needs and the state’s responsibility On the work of the judicial authority and the state’s responsibility to compensate those affected by military mistakes and war remnants. The workshop witnessed a distinguished presence of researchers, academics, students and representatives of civil society organizations who asked many questions and inquiries about the topic of the workshop. They were answered in detail by those in charge of it. The Deanship of the College also presented certificates of appreciation to the management. The workshop and its researchers are in appreciation of their distinguished efforts made in establishing this activity, which comes within the series of scientific, research, cultural and student activities of our college during the current academic year 2023-2024.
