Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Qusay Kamal Al-Din Al-Ahmadi, President of the University of Mosul, and with the follow-up and presence of Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Nemat Ibrahim Al-Saadi, Dean of the College of Law, and the members of the College Council, our college held on Monday, December 25, a training workshop in cooperation with the Nineveh Governorate Traffic Directorate, which began with a speech by the Dean of our college. In it, he explained the college’s plans and programs in communicating and interacting with state departments and institutions, praising the effective and distinguished role of the traffic police, who had a prominent role in reflecting an honorable image of the reality of compliance with laws, regulations, and instructions, appreciating their role in organizing traffic, which is part of the course of daily life. Then the director delivered a speech: The Media Division in the Nineveh Governorate Traffic Directorate gave a specialized awareness lecture in which he explained the importance of traffic culture, which is considered an international culture and is considered one of the requirements for driving a vehicle. He pointed out the importance of traffic signals that must be recognized by the vehicle driver in order to avoid any accidents that may cause human, economic, and social losses, indicating the types of traffic signs. Which may be a sign or a prohibition, with an explanation of the meaning of each signal. Traffic precedence was also discussed, where it was emphasized that the traffic police signal has precedence over all signals and the priority of the vehicle traveling on the main street over the vehicle traveling on the secondary street, with a statement that compliance with traffic laws falls on It is the responsibility of the vehicle and pedestrian commander. The workshop witnessed a distinguished presence by the college’s scientific and administrative staff and students, who asked many questions and inquiries about the topic of the workshop, which were answered in detail by those in charge of it. In conclusion, the College Deanship presented certificates of appreciation to the lecturers in appreciation of their distinguished efforts in holding this project. The activity comes within the series of scientific, cultural and student activities of our college during the current academic year 2023-2024.
