Based on the directives of Professor Dr. Qusay Kamal Al-Din Al-Ahmadi, President of the University of Mosul, on the necessity of interaction and communication with society, and based on the plans and programs of the Deanship of the College of Law, represented by Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Nemat Ibrahim Al-Saadi, Dean of the College, and the members of the College Council, on the importance of spreading legal culture among the various groups and segments of society, we decided to host On Tuesday, December 26, 2023, a number of students from Belqis Girls’ Secondary School attended our college, where a number of our college professors and teachers gave a lecture on electronic blackmail in which the meaning of electronic blackmail was explained, which is one of the forms of electronic crime that has witnessed a spread as a result of the use of modern electronic means and technologies, with a statement of the pillars. This crime and how to deal with its perpetrators, and the emphasis on the importance of informing the competent government agencies, along with the necessity of using electronic programs related to social media in a proper manner and under the supervision of the family. The lecture also touched on the effects that result from this crime on the family and societal levels. The lecture witnessed a distinguished interaction from The attendees who asked many questions and inquiries about the topic of the lecture were answered in detail by the lecturers. Our college also strives to raise community awareness of the dangers of phenomena, pests, and crimes that pose a threat to the security of society and the safety of its members.
