On the occasion of World Environment Day, Assistant Professor Dr. Shaima Abdel-Sattar Jabr, one of the teaching staff in the Human Rights Law Branch at the College of Law at the University of Mosul, participated in the workshop entitled Human Health on World Environment Day, which was held at the College of Environmental Sciences at the University of Mosul on Wednesday, June 5, 2024. Participation was represented by a specialized scientific lecture that addressed the nature of World Environment Day and the phenomenon of global warming and its impact on public health and environmental protection stipulated in international instruments, conventions and legislation, in addition to its role in preserving health as a protected right at the national and international levels. The above participation comes within the efforts of the Deanship of our college in communication and interaction. With the activities and events held by the colleges of the University of Mosul and its research centers, and the role of this in raising awareness of individual and collective rights as part of the legal culture.
