A doctoral thesis in the private law branch on Islamic investment instruments/a comparative study,,,
On Tuesday, July 30, 2024, the Private Law Branch at the College of Law at the University of Mosul discussed a doctoral thesis on Islamic investment instruments/a comparative study, attended by the President of Al-Noor University, Professor Dr. Munir Salem Taha, Assistant President of the University of Mosul for Scientific Affairs, Professor Khaled Abdul Aziz Al-Muslat, Director General of Education in Tinawa Governorate, Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Nemat Ibrahim Al-Saadi, Dean of the College of Law, and a number of members of the College Council and its lecturers.

The thesis submitted by the student Ahmed Yassin Younis in the private law branch dealt with Islamic investment instruments that emerged as a result of the equality related to traditional securities as they deal with usurious interest and given the desire of the public of investors in Islamic countries to invest their money in accordance with the provisions of Islamic Sharia, the instruments came under study as one of the most important Islamic financial products that are an alternative to usurious bonds.
The thesis aims to demonstrate that Islamic investment sukuk are financial papers of equal nominal value issued for a specific period according to Islamic financing formulas and represent a common share in the ownership of existing assets or those that will be created from the proceeds of the subscription. The discussion committee was chaired by Professor Dr. Bushra Khaled Turki and included Professor Dr. Ayser Essam Daoud, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhannad Ibrahim Ali, Assistant Professor Dr. Raed Ahmed Khalil, Assistant Professor Dr. Radwan Hashem Hamdoun, and the membership and supervision of Professor Dr. Mustafa Natiq Saleh.
