Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Qusay Kamal Al-Din Al-Ahmadi, President of the University of Mosul, and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Nemat Ibrahim Al-Saadi, Dean of the College of Law, and in the presence of Professor Dr. Khalaf Ramadan Muhammad, Assistant Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs, and Professor Dr. Muhammad Siddiq Muhammad Abdullah, Assistant Dean for Scientific and Student Affairs, and a number of members of the College Council, the Missions and Cultural Relations Unit in our college, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, held an introductory workshop on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, entitled International Scholarships and Programs and New Requirements for Delegation Outside Iraq, which aims to shed light on the mechanism for applying for British Chevening scholarships and the short-term enhancement program supported by the German DAAD organization, where Dr. Alia Ghazi Taher, Head of the Missions and Cultural Relations Unit in our college, explained that the Chevening scholarship is a British scholarship for one year to obtain a master’s degree and is fully funded by the British government. She also touched on the date of applying for this scholarship according to certain conditions and for almost all scientific and human specializations. The workshop also included an explanation of the cooperation program between the University of Mosul and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), as the applicant under the above program can apply to more than one university, and the application includes scientific and human specializations. The workshop also indicated the requirements for sending outside Iraq according to conditions related to the official, supporting and scientific documents of the applicant during the specified time period for submission. The workshop witnessed a distinguished presence of researchers and academics in addition to college members who directed many questions and inquiries about the topic of the workshop, which were answered in detail by those in charge of it. This workshop comes within the plans of our college and its keenness to raise the scientific and academic level through cooperation and communication with international universities and international institutions that enable the researcher and student to see everything new and innovative in the field of general and precise specialization. This workshop also comes within the series of scientific, research, cultural and student activities of our college during the current academic year 2024-2025.
