In the interest of the Deanship of the College of Law at the University of Mosul, represented by Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Nemat Ibrahim Al-Saadi, Dean of the College, and the members of the College Council, its scientific and administrative staff, and its students, to communicate and interact with the activities and events held by the colleges of the University of Mosul and its research centers, a number of professors and instructors from our college participated in the work of the first scientific conference entitled Sustainable Peace in Iraq – Challenges and Opportunities, which was held by the Center for Peacebuilding and Peaceful Coexistence in the Presidency of the University of Mosul in cooperation with the Al-Masala Organization for Human Resources Development for the period October 2-3, 2024, which witnessed the presentation of a number of research papers that addressed the economic and social axes of the conference and the role of the media in consolidating the culture of sustainable community peace and climate change and its repercussions on water security and the movement of internal displacement in light of the Sustainable Development Goals 2015-2030, as our college instructors had a distinguished participation in the scientific committee of the conference, which witnessed local and international participation, in addition to a number of our college instructors presenting their scientific and research products in various legal specializations in the aspect of The scientific outcomes of the conference. The above participation represented the university role of our college in its scientific and cognitive support for the sustainable development process in our beloved Iraq.
