Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Mahmoud Ahmed, one of the lecturers of the Public Law Department at the College of Law at the University of Mosul, participated on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, in the training course entitled The Role of the Integrity Commission in Reducing the Phenomenon of Corruption, which was held by the College of Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Mosul. During the course, lectures were given that addressed the definition of the role of the Iraqi Integrity Commission, as it is one of the independent bodies active in combating the phenomenon of administrative and financial corruption. This phenomenon has been combined by international and domestic efforts to combat it and prevent its further spread, which must be addressed through effective legislation, consolidating effective administrative and judicial oversight, punishing perpetrators of financial and administrative corruption crimes with the harshest types of administrative and criminal penalties, and spreading community awareness to combat it. This participation comes within the plans of the Deanship of our college and its programs in interacting and communicating with the activities and events held by the colleges of the University of Mosul and its research centers, which contributes to raising awareness and spreading legal culture among the various segments and classes of society.
