Dr. Ali Obaid Awad, one of the lecturers in the Private Law Department at the College of Law at the University of Mosul, participated on Sunday, November 24, 2024, in the work of the training course entitled Combating Administrative and Financial Corruption, which was held by the Continuing Education Unit in our college, by giving a specialized scientific lecture on the role of the judiciary in combating administrative and financial corruption. He touched on the importance of the judiciary, which plays a pivotal role in combating administrative and financial corruption, as it represents the main guardian of the law and justice through its application of the law to perpetrators of crimes, in addition to deterring others through the it includes penalties. To activate this role, it is necessary to focus on the importance of the independence of the judiciary by providing the necessary guarantees to prevent any interference in its work. The lecture witnessed the attendance of the gentlemen participating in the above course from employees of state departments and institutions and the public sector, who directed many questions and inquiries about the topic of the lecture, which were answered in detail. The above lecture comes within the plans of the Deanship Our college and its programs in education and awareness of legal sciences for different groups and segments of society.
