Specialized scientific lecture in the scientific workshop entitled Speicher in the light of Iraqi and international law: Challenges of investigation and justice,,,
Assistant lecturer Saeed Khudaida Al-Sinjari, one of the lecturers of the Public Law Department at the College of Law at the University of Mosul, participated on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, in the work of the scientific workshop entitled Speicher in the light of Iraqi and international law: Challenges of investigation and justice, which was held by the Department of Petroleum Reservoir Engineering at the College of Petroleum and Mining Engineering at the University of Mosul, as the workshop aimed to commemorate the painful Speicher crime that was committed against the members of our security forces in the Air Force Camp (Speicher) and the crimes that followed that affected the spectrum of the Iraqi people at the hands of the criminal terrorist organization ISIS, as this crime constituted a serious and flagrant violation of Iraqi and international law as it is classified as a terrorist crime whose perpetrators were pursued at all levels. The lecture also stressed the ongoing need to document this crime and work to fulfill the rights of the victims and their families. As for the level Internationally, the crime is considered a war crime and a crime against humanity, which requires increased attention to holding terrorist organizations and their financiers accountable within a global framework aimed at combating impunity. The workshop also stressed the importance of preserving the Iraqi national fabric, which constitutes a spectrum whose sons unite to preserve and protect their beloved homeland, which has taught humanity civilization, love and peace throughout its long history.
