A scientific workshop on the role of law in promoting entrepreneurial work,,,
Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Nimat Ibrahim Al-Saadi, Dean of the College of Law, and with the follow-up of Assistant Professor Dr. Talal Abdul Hussein, Head of the Public Law Branch, the above branch, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, held on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, a scientific workshop entitled The Role of Law in Promoting Entrepreneurial Work, which began with a speech by Dr. Wissam Nimat Ibrahim Al-Saadi, who welcomed the honorable attendees at the beginning, appreciating the distinguished role of the Presidency of the Public Law Branch in holding this workshop, which contributes to highlighting the role of our college in supporting creativity and innovation, reviewing its endeavor to interact with university plans and programs in providing the necessary support for student ideas and talents in a way that contributes to enhancing the capabilities aimed at establishing innovative projects that provide many job opportunities, appreciating the role of this workshop in providing a specialized legal presentation of entrepreneurial businesses and projects, pointing out the importance of multiple channels with a fundamental role that work on Preparing the student scientifically and mentally before entering the labor market after completing his university studies and graduating from college. Then the scientific session began with the management of Dr. Zeina Hazem Khalaf, a member of the Technology Incubator Liaison at the Faculty of Law, who presented a brief overview of the above workshop, explaining the concept of entrepreneurship and its relationship to practical reality, pointing out the importance of defining the goal and then developing plans to achieve it, touching on the type of work that falls within the scope of the technology incubator. Then the scientific session began, which dealt with the impact of entrepreneurial projects in reforming inmates, stating that the economic factor may have a fundamental role in committing many crimes and acts punishable by law, with reference to the relationship between criminal law and entrepreneurship, which lies in providing job opportunities for inmates that may prevent them from returning to criminal behavior after serving their sentence, with a video presentation of many of the giant projects that the reform departments witnessed their starting point. The workshop also witnessed a detailed explanation of the legal aspects of business incubators and their stages of inception, which sometimes included the element of risk, with a presentation of laws and legislation. The Iraqi and its position on business incubators, in addition to presenting government support for entrepreneurial projects and the categories covered by the above support, with a statement of the role of educational institutions in supporting emerging projects. The workshop also provided an explanation of the formulation of professional contracts in entrepreneurial projects and attracting practical ideas presented by individuals and members of government departments and institutions and how to benefit from them in accordance with the legal texts that provide protection for them, while showing the manner in which contracts related to entrepreneurial work are concluded. Then, the attendees, including researchers, academics, teachers and those interested in legal affairs, asked many questions and inquiries about the topic of the workshop, which were answered in detail by those in charge of it. Then, Dr. Wissam Nemat Ibrahim Al-Saadi, Dean of the College, distributed certificates of appreciation to the head and members of the preparatory committee and researchers in appreciation of their efforts in holding this workshop, which comes within a series of scientific, research, cultural and student activities for the current academic year 2024-2025
