The Private Law Branch at the College of Law at the University of Mosul discussed on Thursday, December 26, 2024, a master’s thesis on the procedural system for registering machines in the Notary Public Department / Comparative Study, part of which was attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Nemat Ibrahim Al-Saadi, Dean of the College, and a number of members of the College Council and its instructors.

The thesis submitted by researcher Maysar Ali Mustafa in the Private Law Branch dealt with the scientific and technological development that resulted in the emergence of machines of all kinds and the need to organize them according to a legal system managed by the state that serves the economic system and guarantees the rights of individuals within the direction determined by the state.
The message aims to show that the Iraqi legislator has organized the profession of notary public with a special law due to the importance of his role in the life of society and the legal actions of individuals and maintaining the legal organization of the state. It also distinguished itself from other comparative laws by assigning the notary public to register machines and include them within the articles stipulated in the Law of Notaries No. 33 of 1998 in force. The discussion committee was chaired by Professor Dr. Taima Mahmoud Fawzi and membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Saddam Khazal Yahya and Assistant Professor Dr. Roaa Khalil Ibrahim and membership and supervision of Professor Dr. Yasser Basem Dhnoon.
