On Sunday, February 9, 2025, the Public Law Branch at the College of Law at the University of Mosul discussed a doctoral thesis on the mechanisms of redress in financial legislation / a comparative study, part of which was attended by Professor Abdul Qader Al-Dakhil, Governor of Nineveh, Professor Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Nemat Ibrahim Al-Saadi, Dean of the College of Law, and a number of members of the College Council and its lecturers.
The thesis submitted by the student Saeed Khadida Qulu in the Public Law Branch dealt with the study of redress in Iraqi financial legislation and its importance due to its immediate and future effects on the financial position of the state, as well as societal stability and its sustainability and the stability of legal positions and various financial transactions.
The thesis aims to show that redress is compensation for the harm inflicted on the victim as a result of violations he was subjected to by an unknown perpetrator, and this is done through legal mechanisms aimed at restoring rights or material or moral compensation.
The discussion committee was headed by Professor Dr. Saad Attia Hamad, and included Assistant Professor Dr. Fadhila Abbas Ghaib, Assistant Professor Dr. Suhad Abdul-Jamal Abdul-Karim, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Sami Younis, Assistant Professor Dr. Zainab Munther Jassim, and the membership and supervision of Professor Dr. Qabas Hassan Awad.
