An introductory workshop on the grants provided within the European Union Projects Program / Erasmus

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Nemat Ibrahim Al-Saadi, Dean of the College of Law, the Missions and Cultural Relations Unit in our college, in cooperation with the Missions and Cultural Relations Department at the Presidency of the University of Mosul / European Union Projects Unit, held on Monday, March 10, 2025, an introductory workshop on the grants provided within the European Union Projects Program / Erasmus, which began with a speech by Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Nemat Ibrahim Al-Saadi, Dean of the College, in which he praised the efforts made in holding this workshop, expressing the college’s readiness to cooperate and implement the instructions for grants and research and study missions, extending his deep appreciation to the lecturers from the Missions and Cultural Relations Department at the Presidency of the University of Mosul. Then, Dr. Rawaa Boutros Qasha, Head of the Missions and Cultural Relations Department at the Presidency of the University of Mosul, and Assistant Lecturer Ahmed Mahmoud Hamid, Head of the European Union Projects Unit in the above department, presented research papers and lectures on the topic of the workshop, explaining the types of grants Which may be research or study, with reference to the possibility of sixth grade graduates applying for the above fully funded scholarships / European Union scholarships. The workshop also touched on the importance of these scholarships and their role in communicating and interacting with European Union universities and their contribution to the development of scientific research. The workshop also explained the concept of the Erasmus program, which is a European program related to scientific research, with reference to its sections, application procedures, mechanisms, and programs available through it for graduates of Iraqi universities to study, with a statement of the approved educational system and the standards and conditions that must be met by the applicant. The workshop witnessed a distinguished presence of the Deanship of the College and the gentlemen members of the College Council and its affiliates from the scientific and administrative cadres who directed many questions and inquiries about the topic of the workshop, which were answered in detail by those in charge of it. In conclusion, the Deanship of the College honored the lecturers and those in charge of the above workshop with certificates of appreciation in appreciation of their efforts in holding this activity, which comes within a series of scientific, research, cultural and student activities. For our college during the current academic year 2024-2025.
