Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Nemat Ibrahim Al-Saadi, Dean of the College of Law at the University, received the Director of the General Tax Authority’s branch in Nineveh on Thursday, March 13, 2025, accompanied by a number of department and branch heads. The meeting discussed avenues of joint cooperation between our college and the General Tax Authority, including holding joint scientific, practical, and research activities. Our college also hosted a number of General Tax Authority employees for training courses offered by the Continuing Education Unit. The meeting also discussed the mechanism for the General Tax Authority’s participation in the scientific symposium scheduled to be held by the Public Law Branch at our college on April 17, 2025, entitled “Legal Reform in Iraq in Light of the Directions of the Legislative and Executive Authorities.” The meeting was attended by a number of college council members and faculty members. The above meeting is part of our college’s deanship’s efforts to interact and communicate with government departments and institutions, contributing to the activation of the practical aspect of the university framework and its role in consolidating theoretical knowledge in the minds of students and preparing them to engage in practical reality after graduating from college.
