The Fifth Scientific and Cultural Student Festival of the College of Law

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Nimat Ibrahim Al-Saadi, Dean of the College of Law, and under the slogan
(College of Law Students, Let’s be active and influential in sustaining peace, establishing justice, and building strong institutions), our college, with the active participation of the Student Forum, held the Fifth Scientific and Cultural Student Festival on Tuesday, April 15, 2025. The festival began with a recitation of the Holy Quran, the playing of the national anthem of the Republic of Iraq, and the recitation of Surat Al-Fatihah for the souls of the most honorable among us all. Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Nimat Ibrahim Al-Saadi, Dean of the College of Law, then delivered his speech, welcoming the attendees and distinguished guests. He expressed his happiness with the activities of this festival, in which students played a prominent and pivotal role in its various activities. He pointed to the university’s growing interest in the role of students, considering them a fundamental pillar of the educational process, emphasizing the college’s deanship’s interest in student participation within its various programs. And work to develop their diverse talents in addition to interest in the scientific career, appreciating all the efforts made in holding this festival, during which a number of college students recited poems in various poetic genres that sang about the love of Iraq, its people, individuals, nature, sacrifices, history and heritage. A number of college students also gave speeches that reflected the human feelings and human journey of the daughters of Mesopotamia, showing their societal role and distinguished position on the national and scientific levels. Then a video presentation was presented of the participation of our college students in conferences, seminars, lectures, discussion groups and scientific workshops held by the college, in addition to presenting another presentation about the college deanship and the members of the college council and their scientific and educational history with a review of what the college contains of scientific branches, departments and administrative units. Then the dean of the college and the honorable attendees visited the art exhibition that included student artwork in the field of drawing, calligraphy and handicrafts. In conclusion, the college deanship honored the students participating in the above-mentioned festival with certificates of appreciation in appreciation of their distinguished efforts in Holding this activity is part of a series of scientific, research, cultural and student activities for our college during the current academic year 2024-2025.
