Professor Dr. Raqib Muhammad Jassim, a lecturer in the Human Rights Law Department at the College of Law at the University of Mosul, chaired the ministerial committee formed by the Research and Development Department of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to consider the possibility of establishing a department of international law at the College of Law at Al-Mustansiriya University. The committee, formed from law faculties at Tikrit, Kufa, and Iraqiya Universities, conducted a field visit to the aforementioned college to assess the human and technical capabilities required to establish the aforementioned department.
