To our dear students,
Nomination requirements for forming our college’s student team that will participate in the Seventh International Commercial Arbitration Competition:
1. Applications must be submitted through the electronic link https://forms.gle/RSTDXqdAbKrKvgSj8
which will be available for registration for two days only from the date of publication of the announcement.
2. The candidate must possess distinguished legal knowledge and culture and be a student in the second and third years who are continuing their studies for the academic year 2024-2025 and not a graduate of this year.
3. The applicant must be fluent in English and possess the ability to analyze, adapt, interpret, and draw conclusions.
4. Those who have previously participated in previous editions of the competition, been part of student teams, or have been excluded from the preparatory committee for any reason are not eligible to apply this year. This is to allow new students the opportunity to enhance their knowledge of commercial arbitration, train in arbitration sessions, keep up to date with the most important developments in this regard, and disseminate the culture of commercial arbitration among the largest number of students.
5. The student team from the College of Law at the University of Mosul for the seventh edition consists of four students who will be divided into two teams: the substantive team and the procedural team.
6. Candidates must possess fluent language, a strong personality, and the courage to present their ideas.
7. Candidates will undergo a special interview by the committee to determine their suitability to represent the student team.
8. Those accepted by the committee will undergo intensive training from professors specializing in commercial arbitration. They will also be required to write and prepare memoranda for the claimant and the respondent from the team, according to the case submitted by the organizing body. They will also conduct in-person rehearsals for pleading in preparation for participation in the competition.
