Specialized scientific lecture

A scientific lecture was delivered during the training course entitled “Combating Cybercrime in the Public Service from the Perspective of Iraqi Legislation.”
Assistant Professor Dr. Ikram Faleh Ahmed, a lecturer in the Public Law Department at the College of Law at the University of Mosul, participated on Sunday, June 29, 2025, in the training course held by the Nineveh Governorate. The course aims to train employees of departments and institutions affiliated with the governorate. Her participation included a specialized scientific lecture on the course topic, which addressed the most important legislative challenges facing cybercrime, such as the ambiguity of legislative texts and the legislative failure to limit cybercrime acts. She also outlined the mechanisms for combating the aforementioned crimes, identified their types, and how to counter attempts at blackmail and electronic threats. She emphasized the importance of raising community awareness of the dangers of cyber extremism, while also outlining the means to mitigate them. Her participation also represents a distinguished role in striving to achieve societal stability, establish the foundations of justice, and achieve the main pillars of development in general and sustainable development in particular.
