A scientific lecture was delivered during the training course entitled “Combating Cybercrime in the Public Service from the Perspective of Iraqi Legislation.”
Assistant Professor Dr. Suhad Abdul-Jamal Abdul-Karim, Dr. Zainab Munther Jassim, and Dr. Nidal Muhammad Rashid, from the Public Law Department at the College of Law at the University of Mosul, participated in the training course held by Nineveh Governorate. The course aimed to train employees of departments and institutions affiliated with the governorate. Participation included specialized scientific lectures on the course topic, addressing the most important legislative challenges in combating cybercrime, such as the ambiguity of legislative texts and the legislative neglect to limit cybercrime acts. The lectures also outlined mechanisms for combating the aforementioned crimes, identified their types, and how to counter attempts at blackmail and electronic threats. They emphasized the importance of raising community awareness of the dangers of cyber extremism, while also outlining the means to mitigate them. The above participation also represents a distinguished role in striving to achieve societal stability, establish the foundations of justice, and achieve the main axes of development in general and sustainable development in particular.
