A dialogue seminar in Nineveh discussed the implementation of Security Council Resolution 1325

Assistant Professor Dr. Ikram Faleh Ahmed, a lecturer in the Public Law Department at the College of Law at the University of Mosul, participated on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, in a dialogue seminar that discussed Security Council Resolution 1325 on security, women, and peace – implementation and challenges. The seminar was organized by the Al-Masalla Organization for Human Resources Development in cooperation with the Nineveh Provincial Council. The seminar witnessed the participation of governmental, university, community, and civil society organization representatives. It is worth noting that the aforementioned seminar is part of the Women’s Voices in Nineveh program, supported by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). The seminar discussed the importance of Resolution 1325 in enhancing women’s participation in peacebuilding and decision-making, as well as highlighting the most prominent challenges facing women in Nineveh. The Iraqi National Plan for Implementing the Resolution was also discussed, emphasizing the importance of coordinating efforts between governmental institutions and civil society organizations to support and empower women. #University_of_Mosul
