Workshop

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and with the follow-up of Prof. Dr. Abdulaziz Ramadan Al-Khatabi, and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Luqman Osman Ahmed, head of the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Division, the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Division in our college held on Thursday, 7/31/2025, via cyberspace, a counseling workshop entitled Emotional control for the university professor and his role in correcting student behavior. During the workshop, Dr. Nada Fattah Zidan Al-Abayji, a teacher in educational psychology from the College of Education for Human Sciences, highlighted the concept of emotional control and its types, whether it is emotional control for states of joy, sadness or anger, what are the mechanisms to confront it, and what are the most prominent practices that must be trimmed in the university environment and try to contain them, as the university professor is a role model for society, so he must have the highest degree of discipline in dealing with students. The workshop was attended by the Dean of the College, the Assistant Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs, a number of officials of the psychological counseling and educational guidance divisions in the faculties of the university and a number of members of the central and branch committees for psychological counseling and educational guidance. These workshops come as part of the plans of the psychological counseling and educational guidance division in our college in increasing the awareness of the university professor of effective ways to deal with students and control his emotions and correct them properly to serve the goal of quality education as one of the goals of sustainable development.
