The family of the Faculty of Law at the University of Mosul mourns the departure of one of its academic pillars and educational symbols, Prof. Dr. Abbas Zaboun Al-Aboudi
, who passed away today 3/8/2025. The dearly departed, who spent decades as a teacher and researcher at the Faculty of Law, was a beacon of science and an example of high morals and sober academic commitment. He left a deep impact on the souls of his students and colleagues, who graduated from his hands to become judges, lawyers and brilliant academics, carrying the torch of justice and truth that he instilled in them.
He was a humble scholar, a man of generous morals and distinguished legal acumen. He sincerely contributed to building the edifice of the Faculty of Law and the elevation of our beloved university, the University of Mosul, and his good memory and scientific gifts will remain a beacon that illuminates our path
