Conclusion of the development training course (Accountability and its Role in Addressing the Poor Productivity of Public Employees) at the College of Law – University of Mosul

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Law, Professor Dr. Abdul Aziz Ramadan Ali Al-Khattabi, the developmental training course entitled “Accountability and Its Role in Addressing the Poor Productivity of Public Employees” concluded today, Sunday, September 14, 2025. The course was organized by the Committee for Combating Administrative and Financial Corruption as part of the programs implementing the National Strategy for Education and Higher Education, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Law at the University of Mosul.

The course featured two lectures: the first, by Assistant Professor Dr. Ikram Faleh, titled “The Role of Effective Leadership in Promoting Accountability and Increasing Productivity,” and the second, by Assistant Professor Dr. Rawaa Younis Al-Najjar, titled “The Reasons for the Poor Productivity of Public Employees.”

The lectures were conducted online for the first day of the course, and in person for the second day. They were met with active participation and fruitful discussions, emphasizing the importance of strengthening the principles of accountability and transparency in government institutions and their role in enhancing the efficiency and performance of public employees.

The workshop concluded with recommendations calling for increased engagement with such training activities, which would contribute to spreading a culture of accountability and enhancing the performance of public institutions.
