The Center for Peacebuilding and Peaceful Coexistence, in cooperation with the College of Law at the University of Mosul, held its second scientific conference under the theme:
“Together for Environmental Balance and Sustainable Peace.”
The conference was titled: “Environmental Balance and Its Impact on Peacebuilding: Challenges, Opportunities, and Solutions.”
The conference was held at the University of Mosul’s Scientific and Literary Forum on Monday morning, October 7, 2025.
The conference featured a number of solid scientific research and studies across multiple themes, including:
• Legal and Human Rights Theme
• Sociology and Media Theme
• Economics and Development Theme
• Political Science Theme
• Education and Awareness Theme
The scientific sessions discussed a number of papers addressing the impact of environmental balance on achieving social and political stability, ways to empower women in the face of climate change, and legal and economic perspectives for achieving sustainable development.
At the conclusion of the conference, participants made a series of recommendations calling for enhanced cooperation between state institutions and civil society to achieve sustainable environmental peace, emphasizing the importance of continuing to hold such scientific conferences that combine academic research with practical experience.
