College of Law

In cooperation with the Science and Technology Parks Department at the University Presidency, represented by Dr. Omar Qusay, and the Legal Affairs Department at the University of Mosul Presidency, represented by Mr. Muslim Hamid Al-Rawi, and with the attendance and participation of Professor Dr. Muhammad Sadiq Muhammad Abdullah from the College of Law, University of Mosul, the fourth week/second season of the Legal Awareness Program was launched at the College of Basic Education.

The program targets all colleges of the University of Mosul – students and staff – and aims to disseminate legal culture and enhance awareness of laws within the university community by highlighting important topics, most notably:

– The dangers of drugs and an introduction to the Narcotics Law No. (50) of 2017.
– An overview of the Criminal Law No. (111) of 1969.
– Legal articles in the Penal Code that address the phenomena of bullying, domestic violence, and electronic extortion.

– An overview of the General Amnesty Law and the new amendment to the Personal Status Law.
