The University Psychological Counseling Division at the College of Law, University of Mosul, in cooperation with the University Psychological Counseling Division at the College of Medicine, organized a scientific seminar entitled:

“The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Mental Health.”

The seminar was held on Thursday, November 6, 2025, in the Applied Law Court Hall at the College.

The seminar was presented by:

• Dr. Safia Adib Al-Jalabi from the Department of Psychiatry, College of Medicine

• Assistant Professor Dr. Talal Abdul Hussein Al-Badrani, Head of the Public Law Branch, College of Law

The seminar addressed the psychological effects of the increasing use of artificial intelligence applications in daily life, the behavioral and social repercussions of continuous interaction with intelligent systems, and the importance of awareness in dealing with modern technological developments in a way that preserves the psychological balance and mental health of users.

The seminar was attended by a number of faculty members and students from the college. At the end, a discussion session was held, allowing for scientific inquiries that enriched the topic and broadened the understanding of the issues presented. This seminar is part of a series of scientific activities aimed at enhancing cultural and psychological awareness among university students and staff, and keeping up with contemporary developments in the fields of law and medicine.
