The College of Law Hosts Forensic Experts

Under the guidance and supervision of the Dean of the College of Law, and with the direct oversight of Professor Dr. Mohammed Abbas Al-Zubaidi, supervisor of the Applied Court procedures and practices, the college hosted a group of forensic experts from the Criminal Evidence Department of the Nineveh Governorate Police. The visit aimed to conduct practical exercises and simulations on the mechanisms for obtaining forensic evidence at crime scenes.
The visit included extensive practical applications that reflected the realities of fieldwork in collecting and analyzing evidence, aligning with the college’s approved applied curricula and enhancing students’ practical skills. This practical component complements the theoretical lectures students receive within the Applied Court program.
Students also posed a number of specialized questions and inquiries, which were answered by Brigadier General Essam Waleed, Director of Criminal Evidence. He provided valuable insights into the latest scientific methods used in crime detection and evidence gathering.
Through these activities, the College of Law affirms its commitment to bridging the gap between theory and practice and preparing its students to engage with the realities of the legal and criminal field.
