The third season of the Legal Awareness Team at the College of Law, University of Mosul
was launched. With the participation of Professor Dr. Mohammed Sadiq Mohammed Abdullah from the College of Law, University of Mosul, in collaboration with the Legal Affairs Department at the University Presidency, represented by Mr. Muslim Hamid Al-Rawi, and the Parks and Technology Department at the University Presidency, represented by Dr. Omar Qusay, the third week/second season of the Legal Awareness Program was launched at the College of Islamic Sciences. The program targets all colleges at the University of Mosul – students and staff – and aims to disseminate legal culture and enhance awareness of laws within the university community by highlighting important topics, most notably:
– The dangers of drugs and an introduction to the Narcotics Law No. (50) of 2017.
– An overview of the Criminal Law No. (111) of 1969.
– Legal articles in the Penal Code that address the phenomena of bullying, domestic violence, and electronic extortion.
– An overview of the General Amnesty Law and the new amendment to the Personal Status Law.
