Awareness Workshop

The Women’s Affairs Committee at the College of Law, in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Unit at the University of Mosul and the Community Policing Directorate, held a workshop on “Community Policing and its Role in Preserving Family Cohesion” to mark the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence. The workshop took place on Thursday, December 4, 2025. Colonel Hazem Najm Abdullah, Director of the Community Policing Directorate, presented at the workshop, which addressed several topics, including the causes of domestic violence, legal means of addressing it, and preventative measures to avoid its escalation. This workshop is part of the awareness activities aimed at preserving family cohesion, which the College of Law strives to promote.
