College Council

The College of Law at the University of Mosul held its seventh regular council meeting on Tuesday morning, December 2, 2025. The meeting addressed a number of issues on the agenda, in the presence of the Dean and members of the council. Directives received from the University Presidency were reviewed, in addition to following up on several academic and administrative matters.
The meeting included discussions on student affairs, including recommendations from the Postgraduate Studies Committee in the Public Law and Human Rights Law branches. Minutes of meetings of the academic committees were also discussed, along with curriculum updates and recommendations for developing the academic track.
The council also discussed academic matters related to organizing student competitions, including the mock judging competition, and followed up on the work and recommendations of the Industrial Advisory Council. Discussions also included academic promotion files at all levels.
Regarding postgraduate studies, applications from postgraduate diploma and master’s students in several branches were reviewed, and a number of recommendations concerning their academic progress and the requirements for completing their research were decided upon. During the meeting, the Dean of the College stressed the importance of following up on these files because of their role in raising the academic and administrative level of the college, and enhancing the quality of performance in the various scientific departments.
