Volunteer Lecture

The Volunteer Work Unit at the College of Law, in cooperation with the Department of Studies and Planning/Sustainable Development at the University of Mosul, organized an awareness initiative
to mark the 16 Days of Activism against Women, which runs until December 10th. The initiative consisted of a voluntary lecture delivered by a select group of faculty members from our college, entitled “Violence against Women: Its Causes, Effects, and Ways to Reduce It.” The lecture covered various forms of violence, their legal remedies, and methods of prevention and reduction. It took place on Monday, December 1, 2025.
This initiative aligns with the university’s role in promoting legal and social awareness, disseminating a culture of respect for human rights, and contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, including quality education, gender equality, and the establishment of justice and peace.
