Master’s thesis discussion

On Sunday, December 14, 2025, the Master’s thesis of student Israa Khaled Ghanem, entitled:
“Climate Justice and its Impact on Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals,” was discussed.
The thesis was supervised by Dr. Fathi Mohammed Fathi Al-Hayani.
The thesis addressed the concept of climate justice and its connection to climate change, outlining the evolution of this concept within international efforts to address climate impacts. It also analyzed the relationship between climate justice and the Sustainable Development Goals, examined the international legal framework for climate action, and discussed the challenges facing the achievement of climate justice. Furthermore, it demonstrated the impact of climate justice on supporting the environmental, social, and economic dimensions of sustainable development.
The thesis aimed to clarify the role of climate justice in supporting and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals through the equitable distribution of burdens and responsibilities among nations, and achieving a balance between the environmental, social, and economic aspects of current and future generations, thus contributing to equitable and inclusive development.
