In the presence of the President of the University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Qusay Kamal Al-Din Al-Ahmadi, his assistant for scientific affairs, Prof. Dr. Munir Salem Taha, and the Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Law for Scientific and Student Affairs, the college discussed the master’s thesis tagged (International Mechanisms for the Protection of Women from Violence), on Sunday, December 13, 2020

The thesis presented by student HebaMahidiYounes in the department of human rights law dealt with the phenomenon of the grave violation of human rights represented by violence against women, which she has suffered since ancient times and in all societies with different cultures, customs and religions, and is an embodiment of discrimination and inequality between the sexes and an obstacle to achieving it And prejudices to human dignity

The study reached a number of results, in the forefront of which was the inability to limit violence to specific forms such as psychological, physical or sexual violence, as violence may be economic, political or social, and the inherited customs, traditions and norms have a major role in the spread of the phenomenon of violence in addition to the state’s lack of responsibility and neglect of the state In enacting legislative laws against violence against women

The discussion committee is chaired by Dr. Saddam Hussein Wadi Al-Fatlawi / Faculty of Law, University of Babylon, and the membership of Dr. WissamNemat Ibrahim Al-Saadi and Dr. Fathi Muhammad Fathi / Faculty of Law, University of Mosul, under the supervision and membership of Dr. Raqeeb Muhammad Jasim.
