Dialogue session

In the presence of Professor Dr. Munir Salem Taha, Assistant President of the University of Mosul for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Nemat Ibrahim Al-Saadi, Dean of the College of Law, participated on Monday, October 30, 2023, in the dialogue session held at the French-Iraqi Cultural Institute, tagged International Humanitarian Organizations: The Relief Role and Work Obstacles. In Nineveh Governorate, the session witnessed the presence of the Assistant Director of Projects at the Belgian Doctors Without Borders, who initially briefly reviewed the history of Doctors Without Borders in Iraq and the world, addressing the types of services it provides, which he summarized by intervening to provide emergency medical support in times of armed conflicts and natural disasters and providing… Psychological support in the times that follow, including treating the effects of post-traumatic stress, noting that the organization’s current forms of support in Nineveh Governorate are currently mainly represented in treating bone injuries, fractures, and bone infections, in addition to providing psychological support in medical centers that operate inside and outside the city of Mosul, as was attended by The session also included representatives of a number of Iraqi civil society organizations and those interested in the topic of the session. In conclusion, many questions and inquiries were posed to the guest of the session, who answered them at length. A number of recommendations and proposals were also presented in order to benefit from the experience of the above international organization and develop its performance within the governorate.
