Quality education is the fourth goal of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, and under the supervision of Dr. Qusay Kamal Al-Din Al-Ahmadi, President of the University of Mosul, and under the slogan (Education security is true sustainability of good education), the University of Mosul, represented by the UNESCO Chair and a number of its colleges, and in cooperation with Al-Nour University College and the Francophone University Agency/Legal Clinic On Sunday, February 11, 2024, the scientific conference entitled (Quality Education, the Fourth Goal of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals) was held, where the activities of the first day of the above-mentioned conference began on the campus of the Grand University Theater and a number of halls of the colleges of the University of Mosul, with the playing of the national anthem of the Republic of Iraq and the speeches of the conference’s sponsors, which It addressed its objectives, axes, events and sessions that demonstrated the concept of educational security, which is an important axis in legal, political, social and economic humanitarian studies, in addition to the fact that educational security forms part of an integrated system of states’ obligations towards individuals in providing the minimum right to education and providing the appropriate environment to enhance this right, which It is described as one of the basic rights referred to in the International Bill of Human Rights and the national laws and legislation of states. The events of the first day included holding a number of dialogue sessions during which a number of researchers presented research papers in addition to discussions about enhancers of educational security and the contribution of educational institutions in spreading a culture of tolerance and complementary relations between the educational environment. Rejecting violent extremism, the quality management system and continuous development in higher education institutions and its role in achieving educational security and the role of Iraqi universities in achieving intellectual security after the year 2003. Our college also seeks, within the activities and proceedings of the above conference, to develop a scientific strategy with a legal framework that specifies the mechanisms that must be followed to identify the challenges facing Educational safety nationally, regionally and internationally through workshops, discussion circles, scientific research and academic studies presented through its members as specialists in peace building and its determinants, which is the basic foundation for building a solid educational system, in addition to identifying field dilemmas and providing scientific solutions that contribute to overcoming them. The conference proceedings also witnessed attendance. Distinguished by the Deanship of our college and its members, seeking to contribute knowledge to the activities and events that contribute to human progress and societal prosperity in a scientific manner that has its own realistic goals and cognitive determinants, then the activities of the first day of the conference were concluded with the hope of meeting in the sessions of the second day / Monday, February 12, 2024, in another scientific edifice represented by At Al Nour University College.
