Scientific course

In the interest of the Deanship of the College of Law at the University of Mosul, represented by Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Nemat Ibrahim Al-Saadi, Dean of the College and the members of the College Council, to enhance scientific, cognitive and academic communication with the colleges of the University of Mosul and its research centers, a number of our college’s teaching staff participated: the teacher Abeer Abdel Khaleq Thanoun, the assistant teacher Sabreen Hani Farhan, and the teacher Assistant Mona Hamid Fares, Assistant Lecturer Samah Mahmoud Younes, Assistant Lecturer Afrah Adnan Najib, and Assistant Lecturer Israa Ghanem Hamid in the work of the development course entitled Digital Works between Cybersecurity and Legal Protection, which was held by the College of Education for Girls at the University of Mosul for the period 25-27 February 2024. Participation was represented by teaching lectures. Our college gave lectures on the topic of the course, which dealt with digital works and their protection in Iraqi legislation, citation by Google Scholar, the digital object identifier (doi) for encoding digital works, the effects of the electronic publishing contract, procedural mechanisms for protecting digital works, and technical measures to protect digital works. The course witnessed a remarkable attendance and interaction from the employees attending. Academics and researchers who asked many questions and inquiries about the subject of the course were answered in detail by those in charge of it. At the conclusion of the course, the Deanship of the College of Education for Girls presented certificates of appreciation to the researchers in appreciation and appreciation for their distinguished efforts in the above activity. This participation also represents the interactive role of our college’s members and teachers in participating in Scientific, research and academic activities and events held by scientific and research institutions and the role of this in developing capabilities, enhancing skills, and being aware of everything new and innovative in the scientific and educational fields.
