On Thursday, May 23, 2024, the Public Law Branch at the College of Law at the University of Mosul discussed a doctoral thesis on the legal organization for evaluating public employee performance/a comparative study, part of which was attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Nemat Ibrahim Al-Saadi, Dean of the College, and a number of members of the College Council and its faculty.
The thesis submitted by researcher Nawaf Mahdi Jawir in the public law branch dealt with the evaluation of the job performance of the public employee, where the administrative authority carries out its tasks by people who are considered its basic tools and have their role to carry out its duties and activities. Moreover, the performance evaluation depends on the competence of these people and their ability to carry out the work. entrusted to them.
The thesis aims to show that there are many ways to evaluate the performance of employees. It has also been concluded that the system of job performance evaluation reports or competency reports is preferable to other performance systems, and that there is a set of goals that are sought to be achieved.
The discussion committee was chaired by Professor Dr. Qidar Abdel Qader Saleh, and the membership was Professor Dr. Dhafer Madhi Faisal, Assistant Professor Dr. Nectal Ibrahim Abdel Rahman, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Mahmoud Ahmed, Assistant Professor Dr. Abu Bakr Ahmed Othman, and the membership was supervised by Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Muhammad Reda.
