A qualification workshop on the professional qualifications of a graduate of the College of Law,,,
Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Qusay Kamal Al-Din Al-Ahmadi, President of the University of Mosul, and under the supervision and attendance of Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Nemat Ibrahim Al-Saadi, Dean of the College of Law and the members of the College Council, the Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-up Unit in our college held on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, its qualification workshop entitled Professional Qualifications of a Graduate of the College of Law, which began with a speech by the Dean of the College, who welcomed at the beginning our college guest, Dr. Ibrahim Adeeb Ibrahim, praising the importance of the workshop in presenting the required data and information in a scientific manner that is in harmony with practical reality, which contributes to enabling the beneficiary to engage in the labor market, pointing to the importance of knowledge of other sciences in addition to legal sciences to acquire the necessary ability to directly carry out work of a legal nature, appreciating the distinguished efforts of the Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-up Unit in holding activities and events that play a role in developing the talents and capabilities of the student who is one of the college’s outputs. Then, Assistant Professor Dr. Ibrahim Adeeb Ibrahim / Department of Economics at the College of The Faculty of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul gave a number of lectures in which he addressed the labor market for graduates of the faculties of law and law, pointing out the role of the legal profession on the societal level in addition to its financial return for the lawyer, as it can be considered a profession of investing in problems in the event of pleading before courts and judicial authorities, and it can also have a role in social protection and insurance in the event of providing legal services and consultations to the public and societal groups, addressing the field of work of the lawyer, which is directly proportional to the societal environment in which he works, reviewing the work of the lawyer in Nineveh Governorate, Iraq, Arab countries and European countries, explaining, for example, but not limited to, the means and methods through which the lawyer can develop his skills, as this is not limited to university studies, but rather to linguistic sobriety, the ability to write and deliver, community relations, knowledge of other languages, computers, archiving, searching for data and information, customer service, analysis and logic, all of which are means that play a role in developing the capabilities of the lawyer and the worker in the legal field, provided that experience in the field of work and specialization does not come from a vacuum, but rather to continuous reading and review of archiving and training in consulting offices and lawyers’ offices, in addition to the role of the media and its various programs. All of these may be reasons that contribute to qualifying the worker in the legal field and qualify him to enter the labor market with steady and solid steps. The workshop witnessed a distinguished presence of researchers, academics, lecturers, those interested in legal affairs and students who directed many questions and inquiries about the topic of the workshop, which were answered in detail by those in charge of it. In conclusion, the Deanship of the College, represented by Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Nemat Ibrahim Al-Saadi, Dean of the College, presented a certificate of appreciation to our college’s guest. This workshop comes within a series of scientific, cultural and student activities for our college during the current academic year 2024-2025.
