Master’s thesis in public law branch on the principle of permanence of the federal union

The Public Law Branch at the College of Law at the University of Mosul discussed a master’s thesis on the principle of the permanence of the federal union on Monday, January 10, 2022. Part of it was attended by Prof. Dr. Qusay Kamal Al-Din Al-Ahmadi, President of the University of Mosul, and Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Nemat Ibrahim Al-Saadi, Dean of the Faculty and a number of members of the Faculty Council and its teachers

The thesis submitted by the student Yaqeen Mustafa Awki in the public law branch dealt with the distribution of power, which cannot take a fixed form in every society. Rather, the matter varies according to the existing conditions in society in terms of its administrative and political distribution. It may take the form of a simple unified state when it is united in power and is exercised By a single government based on a single constitution, whether it is centralized or decentralized administratively, or it may take the form of a federal state based on the principle of dual powers

The study aims to show that the principle of permanence of the federal union means the indivisibility of its units in respect of the nature of the constitution as the supreme internal law in the state. Such as democracy, the way of distributing the manifestations of sovereignty, and the type of political system

The discussion committee was chaired by Prof. Dr. Sivan Pakrad Mesrob, and the membership of the assistant professor was Dr. Doula Ahmed Abdullah, the assistant professor Dr. Laith Thanoun Hussein, and the membership and supervision of the teacher, Dr. Muhammad Ezzat Fadel
