Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Qusay Kamal Al-Din Al-Ahmadi, President of the University of Mosul, and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Nemat Ibrahim Al-Saadi, Dean of the Faculty of Law, and with the follow-up of Assistant Professor Dr. Qidar Abdul-Qader Saleh, Head of the Public Law Branch, the above branch held its scientific workshop on Thursday, October 27, 2022, labeled drug crimes and their impact On the youth, where Dr. Esraa Younis Hadi and Dr. Rana Abdel Moneim Yahya gave a scientific lecture in which they discussed the definition of narcotic substance, its types and causes Its spread and its health, social, psychological and legal effects and the position of the Iraqi legislator in the Penal Code No. 111 of 1969 and in the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Law No. 50 of 2017 and the forms of criminal behavior contained in the above drug law and the penalties and precautionary measures contained therein. The workshop witnessed a distinguished presence of researchers, academics and those interested in legal affairs. In addition to the faculty members, teachers and administrators, who asked many questions and inquiries about the topic of the workshop, which were answered in detail by the organizers.
