The Department of Biology at the College of Science organized three scientific seminars for postgraduate students on Sunday, June 21, 2026, in Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Al-Haj Qasim Hall, with the attendance of faculty members and postgraduate students from the department. The first seminar was presented by M.Sc. student (Microbiology) Amera Ibrahim Hussein Khalo, entitled: “Evaluation of Lymphocyte and Macrophage Function in Individuals with Vitamin D Deficiency in Nineveh City” The seminar examined the functions of lymphocytes and macrophages in individuals suffering from vitamin D deficiency in Mosul, focusing on the impact of this deficiency on the efficiency of the immune response.
