University of Mosul Enhances Students’ and Graduates’ Skills in Modern Agricultural Technologies and Sustainability…

Under the Patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and under the supervision of the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Abdulrahim Ibrahim Jasim, the training course entitled “Greenhouse Management and Modern Hydroponic Agriculture” was concluded. The course was organized by the Department of Science and Technology Parks at the Presidency of the University of Mosul, through the Recruitment, Qualification and Follow-up Division, in cooperation with the College of Agriculture and Forestry and the private sector.
The course was held from 20 to 24 September 2026, with the participation of a number of university students and graduates. It aimed to enhance their knowledge and practical skills in greenhouse management, hydroponic farming technologies, modern and sustainable irrigation systems, and crop management using smart agricultural practices.
The course is part of the University of Mosul’s efforts to establish effective partnerships between the university and the private sector, while leveraging academic and practical expertise to develop the skills of students and graduates and prepare them for integration into the labor market. It also seeks to encourage participants to utilize modern agricultural technologies in establishing entrepreneurial projects and startups that contribute to food security and sustainable development.
The Department of Science and Technology Parks, in cooperation with the university’s colleges and relevant institutions, continues to implement high-quality training programs that respond to labor market requirements and support the transformation of academic knowledge into practical skills, projects, and viable employment opportunities. These efforts contribute to enhancing the quality of the University of Mosul’s graduates and strengthening its role in serving the community and advancing sustainable development.
