University of Mosul Strengthens the Role of Entrepreneurship Units in Discovering Entrepreneurial Talent and Fostering a Culture of Business

In implementation of the directives of the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Abdulrahim Ibrahim Jasim, and as part of the preparations for the 2026–2027 academic year, the Department of Science and Technology Parks at the Presidency of the University of Mosul held a meeting with the heads of Entrepreneurship Units in the university’s colleges to discuss work mechanisms for the upcoming phase and strengthen the presence of entrepreneurship and innovation within the university environment.

The meeting focused on the importance of attracting entrepreneurial talents among students, graduates, and researchers, identifying individuals with innovative ideas and entrepreneurial projects, and working to develop these ideas and transform them into opportunities and projects with economic and social value, thereby fostering a culture of initiative and self-employment within the university.

The meeting also addressed the preparation of integrated programs and plans for implementing training courses and workshops in entrepreneurship, developing students’ skills in project development and management, as well as preparing for active participation in Global Entrepreneurship Week and organizing high-quality activities that contribute to showcasing entrepreneurial talents and ideas at the University of Mosul.

This approach is in line with the University’s vision of building a generation of university students equipped with ideas, skills, and the ability to transform challenges into opportunities and ideas into entrepreneurial ventures and sustainable projects, while strengthening the University’s role as an incubating environment for innovation and entrepreneurship.
