Assessment of Clinical Skills for the Fifth Stage Veterinary Students using Objective Structured Practical Veterinary examination (OSPVE)

On Sunday, 23rdFebruary 2020, Objective Structured Practical Veterinary examination (OSPVE) was conducted by College of Veterinary Medicine to assess fifth stage students’ performance on clinical skills at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital. According to the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) system, the exam consisted of multiple mini-stations which the students rotate round in sequence, completing a variety of tasks for the specialties of surgery, obstetrics, internal medicine, and clinical pathology, poultry and fish diseases.The Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, Prof. Dr. Dhafer Muhammad Aziz and Dean Assistant for Scientific Affairs Professor Dr. Raad Abdulghani Basheer toured the halls and followed the progress ofexamination process in terms of proving the appropriate atmosphere for the students.It should be noted that the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Mosul is the first college in Iraq to take the exam in this way.We wished all the students’ success and approval in the performance of the exam.
