Workshop: University Female Students Raise Their Voices to Correct the Course


The Women’s Affairs Committee, in collaboration with the Media and Government Communication Division at the college, held a workshop titled:
“University Female Students Raise Their Voices to Correct the Course”,
presented by Prof. Dr. Layan Yassin Khalil, Head of the Women’s Rights Unit.
The workshop addressed several key topics, including:

An introduction to elections and their importance

The role of women in the electoral process

The significance of active participation in choosing representatives of the people
This workshop is part of a series of awareness activities aimed at increasing understanding of the importance of elections and civic engagement. It aligns with the fifth Sustainable Development Goal (Gender Equality) and the sixteenth Goal (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) by promoting principles of transparency and community participation.
The event was attended by Prof. Dr. Saevan Saad Al-Mahmoud, Dean of the College, along with several faculty members, staff, and students. The session witnessed positive engagement and meaningful discussions.
