On Sunday, August 17, 2025, the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Mosul, hosted the defense of a master’s thesis by Anfal Adel Salah al-Din (Veterinary Pathology) entitled:
“The Protective Role of Zinc Oxide Nanoparticles in Reducing the Progression of Experimentally Induced Amyloidosis Lesions in Male Rats.”
The study demonstrated that zinc oxide nanoparticles effectively repaired tissue damage caused by amyloidosis and reduced beta-amyloid protein gene expression in the spleen and kidneys.
Following a rigorous scientific discussion and a confident defense by the candidate, the committee approved the thesis.
